First Lt. Richard P. Kendall, pilot, leans out window of a 491st Bomb Squadron's B-25D aircraft in a revetment at Yang Chiseh Airfield, Yangkai, Yunnan Province, China. This plane has been modified with the twin .50 caliber machine gun side packs on lower fuselage side. Another would be on the opposite, starboard, side of the plane.
