This group had received notification they were being sent back to the USA after two years in the CBI theater. Photo was taken on 'Red Dust Hill', the hostel area of Yangkai Air Base, Yunnan province. Capt. William DeVries, Engineering Officer, is in the back row, sixth from the right. Other men await identification.
