The photographer and collector of the images in the Roubinek Collection in Yunnan province, China, during WWII. We know very little about this CBI veteran or the background of these images. See an overview here.

Crashed American aircraft in the bone yard at the American airbase--many of these were used as salvage for spare and repair parts for planes that were still flying.

Remains of stripped down C-46 Commando, transport aircraft.  Dozens of the old C-46s are still operating in Alaska, Canada and a few other areas around the world.    tonystro    RE:Roubinek Collection
